1. The game

Upstart FC is a single-player football (soccer) management game. The free version includes the United States and one career. The full game, a one-time purchase, adds every country and a career in every save slot. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to play it for your own non-commercial use.

2. Accounts

You can play without an account. Accounts (for cloud saves, the leaderboard and purchases) are for people aged 13 or older, or the minimum age in your country if higher. Keep access to your email secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the game.

3. Purchases

The full game is a one-time payment at the price shown before you pay, processed by Stripe (or by Steam for the Steam version). It is tied to your account and does not expire. There are no subscriptions, ads, loot boxes or paid advantages. Refunds are described in the refund policy.

4. Your saves

Saves without an account live only in your browser. Browsers can delete site data, so export your careers now and then or use cloud saves. We are not responsible for saves lost from your device. Cloud saves are limited to 5 per account and a maximum file size.

5. Fair play

Do not attack, overload or reverse-engineer our servers, impersonate others, or use offensive names. Weekly-challenge scores are submitted by your browser on an honour system; we may remove scores or names that look manipulated or offensive.

6. Fictional content

Players, managers, staff and most competitions in the game are fictional and generated by the game. The game is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any league, federation, club or player. Any resemblance of generated people to real people is coincidental.

7. Changes and availability

We update the game over time and may change or remove features. We aim to keep saves working across updates. Online features (accounts, cloud saves, the leaderboard) may occasionally be unavailable.

8. Liability

The game is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

9. Ending

You can stop using the game and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without affecting mandatory consumer protections where you live. We will post changes here and update the date above.
